23 January 2012, RotoGrip Defiant, Equipment Review

Roto Grip has produced a new ball that will allow you to rule the lanes! It is known as the Defiant. The new Paragon core allows you to match the ball reaction to the lane conditions. It has strong midlane roll and a huge continuous sweeping hook giving plenty of backend action. This is SERIOUS technological advancement. The new MicroBite covershell is stronger and more textured than all other brands. When finished with 3000 grit Abralon, this new shell creates friction where all others cannot!! Heavy oil lane conditions pose no problem for the Defiant. Today’s lane oils have more solids than ever and make the lanes very slick at times. Roto Grip has the answer!

Bowler’s with about 15 mph speed and low rev rates will really love this new Defiant. Lane control has just stopped being a problem!!! See it now—ball is available.

26 September 2011 How to Select Bowling Shoes Bowling Equipment

Bowling shoes are the foundation of the bowling approach and delivery. If the shoes are not right, your game will suffer. How to select the proper bowling shoe for the individual bowler is not talked about too much during league bowling or practice. So, how do you pick the right shoe? There are some things to consider. The bowler needs to realize that the shoe can improve scores, shape your game and in general make the bowling experience more enjoyable. There are steps to choosing the correct shoe:

First, decide on the type of shoe you want. Retro style, classic style or do you want the look that will make you the envy of the alley? This where your personality comes through and can make things more fun. Are you a serious or casual bowler? Most serious bowlers want to look professional or are you the casual bowler that likes the bowling shoes look and wants to take the look to the street? Casual bowlers will probably go for the universal sole shoe that can be used on left or right slide foot. More serious bowlers will opt for the high performance shoe. Second, decide where to buy your shoes. Casual bowlers will want to buy online because there are more styles and sizes available than your local pro shop. More advanced bowlers may want to try the shoe on and that would mean going to the pro shop. There would be fewer choices there but they will know how the shoe will feel. Third, casual bowlers can go for the universal sole usable on LH or RH bowlers. Higher performance bowlers want shoes that can be tweaked to increase or decrease slide. They can also opt for different heels to adjust height and/or break. Finally, the shoe must feel good on your foot.
