Bowling with friends is fun but we all have that one friend who might not be very good at bowling. If sending that friend to watch some videos on betterbowler.com isn’t working, we’ve got another idea. It’s important that everyone in your group has some fun and feels like they can win, so here’s some games to play.
Golf | Level Easy
No, we’re not sending you out to the greens. Stay inside and tell your friends that for this game, the lowest score wins. This will let everyone have a chance to win. (NOTE: If you’ve been working on your skills don’t worry about winning this round!)
Boose Bowling 101 | Level Easy
(Please Drink Responsibly)
You and your friends will take a drink based on how many pins they leave in the frame.
Mixed drinks = a sip for each pin.
Beer or wine = A second for each pin.

Beer Frame | Level Moderate
(Please Drink Responsibly)
This is a popular league time ritual that you can incorporate into league night. If you’re with some more skilled bowlers, this is a great addition. The goal is to “stick” the person who doesn’t get a strike in the frame and send them to the bar to buy the next round. If it’s to difficult for everyone on your lane to get a strike together then try it with strikes and spares. If there are 5 people bowling 4 of the 5 people have to get a strike or a spare to send the “out” person to the bar.
Call The Shots | Level Expert
This game is a challenge but it can be fun, even if you suck at it! Each bowler will throw their normal first ball aiming at the headpin. If the player leaves more than one pin, the other players get to tell them which pin(s) to hit. Keep score on a separate piece of paper outside of the normal score of play. If the player hits the pin(s) that were called they get 2 points. If they hit the pin(s) that they were supposed to hit but also hit pin(s) they weren’t they get 1 point. If they miss them all they get 0 points.

Now that you’ve got the do’s and don’ts, let’s get better! Grab your Spin ball, watch some videos, and head to the lanes!

PIZZA
A staple throughout the year. There's nothing better than the combination of bread, marinara sauce, and cheese. Whether you like it thick crust or thin crust, a few toppings or tons of toppings, extra cheese or just the normal amount-it's a delicious way to fill up while you're bowling. Go ahead and place your order, you'll be the hero among your friends. We promise.
NACHOS
MMMM....that combination of salty, crispy chips and melted, creamy cheese has our mouth watering. It's a perfect snack between frames.
FRENCH FRIES
Another classic, french fries are always delicious. They're perfect if you're really hungry because they're usually ready in just a few minutes. The right ratio of salt and ketchup per fry is truly an art form. Some people even add pepper for a challenge. Think you've mastered it?
FRESH OFF THE GRILL BURGERS AND DOGS
Nothing says summer like meat off the grill. You'll be able to find that classic grilled burger and hot dog at your local bowling center. It just smells like summer! BONUS: If you're like me and grew up in the midwest you might have some great childhood memories of eating a corn dog at the State Fair or Festivals during the summer. Some bowling centers have added corn dogs and mini corn dogs to their menus. Try it out, it might just take you back to those carefree days before school started in the fall.
PRETZELS
The classic salty snack that always hits the spot. There's nothing like the taste of a warm pretzel. There's a pretty healthy debate on whether you should eat it with mustard or cheese (TEAM CHEESE IN DA HOUSE) but whichever way you like it, it's a great way to cure those hunger pains while you knock down pins.
All these salty snack go down great with a refreshing, ice cold Pepsi or for our better bowlers over the age of 21 a satisfying Miller Genuine Draft. Let's eat!
